We all know that street food is the ultimate foodie pleasure. Typically championed in the capital where pop-ups sprout on a weekly basis, this time Birmingham becomes baron of the street food frenzy. Perched under the arches of Digbeth's Duddeston Viaduct, the Digbeth Dining Club finds its humble weekly residency taking Birmingham by storm, transforming a gritty car park into a haven of street food favourites, live musical musings and art exhibitions.
This street food festival is bursting Birmingham's seams with the mighty meaty maestros The Original Patty Men scoring 'Best Burger' with their Japanese-style 'Sumo' special served with all the trimmings, plus a dose of whopping wasabi ketchup - now there's a burger that will clear the sinuses. Street artisans Buddha Belly, bringing flavours fresh from rural Thailand to Digbeth's doorstep, also came third in the Best Main Dish category, seeing this street food fest rake in the glory.
With a rosta of faithful foodie traders continuing to bring delicious dishes to Digbeth's streets, its no wonder this Brummie food fest reigned supreme for the second year running! Bring on 2015.
