Description
Best Live Music Venue 2014/15 - DesignMyNight Awards
Nestled in amongst the creative and independent shops of York Road sits live music venue and charming pub The Hare & Hounds.
Attracting locals and creatives from Birmingham's far and wide, The Hare & Hounds is a respected and well loved music venue in the city suburbs. Host to UB40's first ever gig back in 1979, Basement Jaxx and the likes of comic legend Frank Skinner, The Hare & Hounds is not only known for its reputed gig line-ups but its reputed atmosphere with a PRS Music Heritage award to boot.
Split into four separate areas including two bars and two gig venues, this spacious venue is traditional and atmospheric, with oak paneling and classic Edwardian tiling in abundance. Lovingly bound by the quirky Birmingham creatives around them, there's even a menu dedicated to innovative flavours of crisps. Trust us when we say that this pub in Birmingham has flair and character as they invite everyone from local musicians and street food vendors back year after year; even hosting their own street food festivals on Summer occasions.
