Description
A bar, restaurant and music venue, Bloc+ is carving itself a little niche as an independent venue on the largely commercial Bath Street. With a discrimination-free music policy, the packed roster of gigs will include anything from acoustic acts to sway with to heavy bands to bounce to and all sorts of hip hop, electro, and indie in between.
Quirky initiatives keep this city centre bar popular with cool kid students and old hat regulars alike. Most acclaimed are nights like the Glasgow Slow Club every Tuesday for laid back grooves, or Bloc+ Jam open mic nights every Sunday.
Live acts and DJs litter the bill seven nights a week, showcasing some of Scotland's sharpest musical talents. Better-than-your-average pub grub includes interesting takes on classic, with Irn-Bru sarnies and a poutine menu providing comfort food. There's also a brilliant selection of nosh for vegans and vegetarians, with hot dogs, Tex Mex and burgers.
