The Ben Nevis

Description

A traditional Scottish pub, with one of a kind features, Ben Nevis is a unique watering hole at the Finnieston end of Argyle Street. Lovingly designed, at first glance Ben Nevis looks like your average Scottish pub all stone walls, dark woods and a roaring fire. But closer inspection reveals a decor that pays ode to its homeland with all manner of grass roots Scottish features. From old rope taken from a Scottish vessel and knotted into the bar, to framed samples of highland artifacts like wool and sticks, slate slabs, straw, and sleepers of timber, each piece tells a story. With Gaelic etchings on the bar and walls, every tiny detail is carefully thought out and pays homage to Scotland and its rich history.

With contemporary trad sessions three nights a week, The Ben Nevis can be everything from a lively folk bar at night, to a quiet local by day, with comfortable seating and chatty regulars always up for a natter over a pint of IPA. If it's a dram you're after, The Ben Nevis is an approved whisky ambassador, the staff here know their way around a malt or two, and with over 100 whiskies on offer, there's plenty to choose from. The Ben Nevis is also a dog friendly pub, with pooches as valued as the regulars for their custom - the bar even released its own Dogs of the Ben calendar. A quirky pub, with great heart, The Ben Nevis is one of the Glasgow's real gems.

Ben Nevis - Glasgow Pub Review

The Ben Nevis is a traditional Scottish pub on Argyle Street that's steeped in unique and traditional features, hunted down and gathered from around the highlands. The Ben Nevis offers up a wide selection of drinks, but of course has a soft spot for whisky.  The Venue Walking past this bardown…
