Ask For Janice is a dynamic restaurant and bar located close to Barbican and Farringdon stations. Step off Long Lane to encounter a bright and breezy restaurant area, filled with contemporary art from the likes of Kid Acne and Damien Hirst. There's room for 70 covers (seated), who tuck into scrumptious grub from breakfast right through til night. The venue lays on a spread of pastries and heartier breakfasts in the morning, fresh & light lunches and a choice of larger plates once dinner time rolls around.
This atmospheric bar & kitchen is really only half the story though. Locate the secluded speakeasy style basement bar and you're in for a real treat. It's smaller than the main bar and the dark, atmospheric vibe is noticeably different to upstairs. You'll have the chance to pick between a really strong spread of draft & bottled beers and over 40 gins, and every glass of wine is priced the same so there's no need to base your choice on cost. A bustling and eclectic music policy is the one constant throughout the venue.
