Dishoom pulls inspiration from original Bombay cafés; these were brought to India early last century by Persian immigrants and were a place for everyone to come and enjoy. Dishoom draws upon the heritage and tradition of these great cafés, keeping their spirit alive in the heart of London.
Dishoom Covent Garden has two floors; upstairs is lighter and more open, with large windows letting in natural light. The space is packed with small tables and booths along the walls, has an open planed kitchen, lots of low hanging lights and white walls are covered in framed pictures. Downstairs is darker and has a more intimate and seductive feel. The décor is reminiscent of relaxed, modern India, mixing white walls, wood paneling and added touches of gold sporadically.
Dishoom is great for anyone to come and have a spectacular meal; groups of friends, date nights and even families. The food is a modern twist on traditional Indian food. There is always a vibrant and electric feel at this Bombay inspired café that has won several awards and accolades for its excellent food, friendly service and kicking atmosphere. They also have some of the best Chai Tea's in town, so check them out.
