Description
Following the huge success of Cubana Waterloo, owner Phillip Oppenheim has proudly announced plans to open a second venue in Smithfield later this year. Known for its incredible Mojitos, delicious freshly prepared Latin American food and late-night live Cuban music the new venue is expected to be a big hit with the locals.
The new bar-restaurant will also incorporate a coffee roaster to be run in conjunction with the new Cuban coffee brand Alma de Cuba. Alongside this there will also be an artisan bakery, a gelateria and a paleteria, creating Mexican style fresh fruit ice-lollies.
The vibrant venue will include a dining room, cocktail bar and will provide a quieter daytime meeting area for workers in the area. The site will have a large glass roof area so when customers arrive it will be like entering a Havana street. Oppenheim has said that the venue “will be slightly more food and café oriented than Cubana Waterloo and slightly less bar led.” But don’t panic folks the mojito bar will be there too!
