Split across a main bar, lounge, restaurant and mezzanine bar, Tompkins in Canary Wharf is a stylish city haunt located within Pan Peninsula; the UK's tallest residential building. It's main pull is it's New York laid back lounge-cool style with interesting thick coffee table books interspersed with lovely liquors on the shelves behind the bar. More exciting though is the fact that Tompkins boasts the largest water-side space for drinking and eating in East London. The interior incorporates an eight metre-long, bronze-fronted bar, bespoke Tom Dixon chandeliers and a Foscarini cloud mural. The floor throughout is made from small blocks of solid Argentinean eucalyptus wood, whilst the furniture is a mix of styles and periods, from 1950’s leather sofas to glossy black lacquer tables. Expect modern brassiere fare cuisine based on the great brasseries of New York City relaxing vibes and a large selection of drinks to enjoy at Tompkins in Canary Wharf. Make sure to visit the spectacular Attic bar upstairs for some fantastic late-night cocktails and music.
