Description
Part of the Faucet Inn chain, Maida Vale's The Squirrel is a modern pub that that retains a traditional charm, a task which is not always easily achieved. This all due to its recent refurbishment, which converted it from a dark Victorian pub which made it into such a distinct setting, and even changed its name from the original Red Squirrel. An easy-going atmosphere and staff that merely aim to please, it is usually quite easy to get a table during the week but their highly-popular and in-demand Sunday roasts cause quite a bit of a competition in finding seats, so it's best reserving in advance. Whilst serving numerous pub classics, they also host various sharers and even their original in-house burgers.
Throughout the week, you can find plenty of great food deals, such as regular buy 1 get 1 free burger nights every Thursday. Drinks wise, they provide an assortment of beers, cocktails, spirits and wines, all hand-picked by the house and equally offer tea, coffee and a number of soft drinks. Open to the whole family, it's a great place for a family meal, a special occasion or just a few casual drinks in a trendy yet traditional environment.
