Description
Take a look inside the iconic Heineken Manchester brewery in Hulme on one of our exclusive brewery tours during Manchester Beer Week.
Formerly known as the Royal Brewery, the Heineken Manchester brewery is a major monument on Manchester's brewing landscape. Beer has been brewed on the site since 1875, when it was opened as the Albert Brewery, and it has since produced iconic brands such as Red Tower, Harp and McEwan’s. Now owned and operated by Heineken, it is an unmissable landmark on the route into Manchester city centre from the south and produces around three million pints a day, including famous beers Foster's and Kronenbourg 1664.
As part of Manchester Beer Week, the brewery is opening its doors to visitors for two exclusive tours, each limited to 10 people, giving visitors a unique insight into operations at one of the world's biggest breweries. Visitors will see the packaging operation, sampling room and be given insight into the brewery's heritage.
Admission costs £10 per person with all proceeds being donated to Heineken's chosen charity Addaction.
Please note you will need to be over 18 years of age, come in sensible flat shoes and will be required to do a short safety induction. There will be no cameras allowed and no drinking available on site.
