Ready to transport straight to the French Alps? Enter the Raclette Igloo Experience. After its successful stint in Canberra last year, the pop-up will also be coming to Melbourne and we're snow excited. Taking place atop venue space Fed Square, the rooftop will be decked out with pine trees, twinkling lights and 14 stunning private igloos. And fun fact: each wintry pod will be named after a French ski resort. Courchevel or Val Thorens perhaps?
Snuggle up by the toasty firepit as the staff shows you how to eat raclette properly – aka melted to perfection and paired with cured meats, pickled onions and boiled potatoes. Quench your thirst with a warming spiced mulled wine, but if that’s not your thing, your dining dome also features a mini bar stocked with French wines, soft drinks and sparkling water. To top off the whole thing? Grab some pillowy marshmallows and roast those bad boys until they’re nice and burnt. More s’mores please...
The Raclette Igloo Experience will run from the 18th of May to the 11th of June at Fed Square, Melbourne VIC 3000. Want more? Check out these fun things to do in the city here or sign up for our future newsletter.
