Description
Neatly nestled in Bath’s beautiful, bustling city centre, the Cork attracts a hip crowd from its ever beer-binging students to a whole host of fun-seeking tourists and locals alike. See school-like, colourful kitsch meet an American-inspired twist as this dynamic pub bursts with energy and awakens your inner child.
Split over two spacious levels, boasting an outside terrace for those much loved summer rekorderligs, as well as two intimate subterranean vaulted booths, the Cork is a stylish, boozy hotspot. The pub's retro selection of pop art and cartoon prints together with a vibrant, random assortment of bright chairs and tables make for a very cool and quirky bar atmosphere.
Food-wise the Cork encapsulates an American diner feel combined with that nostalgic school vibe, particularly with its large fridge-magnet menus and food served up on plastic trays. Woof down those Yankee taste sensations with the Cork’s take on greasy burger and ‘finga lickin fries’ washed down with a cold glass of delicious British ale. Burgers are presented on brioche buns and cost about a tenner, and we would highly recommend the 'pulled porker' if you fancy a sample of meaty sweetness. Aside from its beer and wine lists, the Cork showcases six classic cocktails and we loved the 'spring garden' - a refreshing burst of elderflower, cucumber and ginger for just £6.75.
