People of Belfast. Big news incoming.
Folk Town is now open for business and its rustic, atmospheric charm has given us all the feels.
Transforming the space previously occupied by CastleCourt’s service yard, Folktown is the new venture from hospitality behemoths The Clover Group, which also run The Bone Yard and White’s Garden. So we’re in good hands. Their long tables have ample space for beer sloshing with pals after a long day hitting the shops and there’s street food aplenty to keep all hunger pangs at bay. Should the weather fail us, Folktown is fully undercover and there's also cosy containers to kick back and relax in.
The name is a sweet ode to its past as the Old Folk Town Market, once held on Bank Square, and as with other Clover Group joints, Folktown is dog-friendly.
We’ll woof to that.
Folk Town can be found on Bank Square in Belfast City Centre, next to CastleCourt. They're open from 12:30pm to 12am Thursday through Saturday, and 1:30pm - 12am on Sundays. Want more pub action? Check out our guide to the best bars in Belfast.
