While they may have propelled themselves to the top of a tasty tower thanks to Opus and Cafe Opus, this contingent aren't yet ready to settle. Announcing a new nook just shy of Birmingham Snow Hill Station, two become three as the Opus brand opens Bar Opus this coming November. A haunt set to echo the cosmopolitan cool of Copenhagen and Barcelona alike, Bar Opus will be a 120 strong venue with an open kitchen, draught beer and cocktails to boot.
What we say:
It's pretty nice to see that Opus is no longer reserved for upmarket meals and mums only. While we're avid fans of Opus and Cafe Opus, as is the city, the brand were yet to break in to a Birmingham market that's desperate for more cosmopolitan crooning, until now. With a plot that's sure to be bustling with the suited and booted thanks to its Snow Hill location, Bar Opus certainly wont be rampant with off their trolley Broad Street dollies, but what we suspect to be a more urbane crowd.
