What they say:
Boasting a brand new £6 million refurbishment, Birmingham's Hyatt Regency have incorporated plans for a new tavern style drinking den to be found on their ground floor. With its own tipple terrace boasting a retractable roof, and pub interiors boasting fire places and art work reflective of the heralded West Midlands ceramic industry, the new bar at Hyatt Regency is hoping to be one of Birmingham's newest boozers, and draw more people to the hotel, even if they aren't staying the night.
What we say:
With the introduction of venues like Pentalounge to Birmingham's midst, hotel bars have seemingly decided to take things up a notch. So does this mean Hyatt Regency are ready to step up to the same liquid level. While Birmingham boasts many an unusual boozer, it would be interesting to see Hyatt Regency take a step back from the quirky in the name of classic cognac, evening tipples and an inherently pub vibe.
