After having a hand in Birmingham's strong independent scene for years, the talented Joe Schuppler, founder of Independent Birmingham, and Robert Wood, former head bartender at the Edgbaston Hotel, are teaming up for a new secret cocktail bar concept called 18/81. The bar will be placing a special importance on serving up high quality drinks with ingredients combined in advance and diluted to perfection. With a range of specially curated spirits available to customers in addition to a small wine and beer menu, 18/81 hopes to change the status quo of cocktail bars.
