What they say:
A 101 capacity entertainment plot boasting independent screenings, theatre showcases, comedy nights and live events alike, The Mockingbird Theatre and Bar is the latest feathered friend to land at The Custard Factory following Alfie Bird's. Also toting its own cafe and bar with unusual bottles of beer, fine liquor and local ales to boot, The Mockingbird will also be an evening destination for drinks in Digbeth.
What we say:
One of the coolest quarters in Birmingham and toting the majority of the city's creative kids, we're chuffed to see another Custard Factory plot being snapped up after laying dormant for so long. With Alfie Bird's just recently opening its doors, its great to see the Custard Factory contuining to flourish, and with a bar, cafe, comedy cavern, theatre and movie screen no less. And what with cinema prices hiking to an all-time high, it's nice to see that Birmingham will have a more creative alternative to screenings.
