Description
The Jewelry Quarter’s specialist craft beer venue celebrates the heritage of the ‘city of a thousand trades’.
1,000 Trades arrives at the Grade II listed site that housed the former Diamonds & Pearls Caribbean restaurant. Putting the spotlight on Brum’s growing love for craft beer and specialty ale, co-owner Jonathan Todd has established a venue that is "at the heart of a neighbourhood with a rich history and a vibrant present." The venue showcases art by local artists, as well as playing music prepared in partnership with the local music community.
The focus is on craft beer and natural wine, but they also play host to a variety of kitchen residencies by food entrepreneurs. Acting as an event space, they are keen to support events that act in the interest of their ethos.
