Taking to the Jewellery Quarter for the rest of December, this charming pop up is bringing you delicious Spanish and Portuguese tapas dishes to warm your cockles this winter. Ocho is the latest project from Purnells alumnus, Tomek Iwanicki, who uses fresh local produce to craft some stunning small plates. Inspired by his time spent in the Mediterranean, and the influence of his father's cooking, Iwanicki has filled the Ocho menu with everything from grilled lemon sardines, to handmade pork shoulder meatballs and a sumptuous, rustic vegetable stew perfect for feeding body and soul on wintry evenings.
The pop up aims to serve hearty and comforting dishes that evoke that sense of tucking into a home-cooked meal, mixing simplicity with bucket-loads of flavour for the ultimate seasonal offering.
Ocho runs until the 31st of December 2018 from Wednesday - Saturday, 5pm-11.30pm at 19 Pitsford Street, Birmingham, B18 6LJ.
