We don't know if you happen to have noticed that sparkly new fangled building in Birmingham city centre but you'd be right in thinking that the Library of Birmingham has finally opened its doors. And whilst you may be questioning what a book worms paradise has to do with your nights out in the city, the Library of Birmingham has more on offer than you first might expect! Celebrating its launch, the Library of Birmingham have teamed up with The Rainbow venues, Capsule and The Quietus for an all round musical extravaganza this coming October.
Boasting a 'weekend of adventurous music', Bring to Light plans to wow and intrigue audiences with a selection of visual artists and captivating musicians over a two day spread. Kicking off at The Rainbow Venues on October 25th, Bring to Light has invited the likes of electro-wonder Dinos Chapman, the dance phenomenon that is SHANGAAN ELECTRO, the delicate lulls of Josephine Foster and the post-metal fury of Deafhaven. But Birmingham's biggest club can't take all the praise as the Library of Birmingham will put its unique space to the test as they gear up for day two on the 26th.
Whilst the schedule has yet to be announced, weekend tickets will set you back an oh so reasonable £40 with the promise of adventure in all things sound and visual.
