From marmalade gin through to beer brewed in tiny batches, the UK has gone mad for a crafted and unusual drink. To celebrate this considered drinking trend, Birmingham is set to get its very own two-day festival dedicated to all things crafted. Taking place at Birmingham NEC, Craft Drink Festival hopes to bring together producers of beer, wine, cider, gin and soft drinks in a feast for the palette. Not content with satisfying your taste buds, the event promises an immersive experience to 'stimulate all five senses'; with everything from fun and flavour to education and entertainment.
To accompany the drinks, the event will have masterclasses in the brewing process, tasting notes and drinks history. A spotlight will also be shone on Birmingham's foodie scene with street food stalls, and entertainment includes live music across two stages, comedy and cinema. The event takes place in July with ticket details yet to be released.
Craft Drink Festival takes place on 28th - 29th July at Birmingham NEC, North Avenue, Marston Green, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
