We don’t mean to alarm anyone but we think we may just have found Birmingham’s most Instagrammable restaurant and *spoiler alert* it comes complete with pretty igloos, sky-high views and a butterfly-themed photo wall.
Sky By The Water is the gorgeous restaurant and bar in the heart of Resort World. Home to a stunning secret garden, adorned with pretty foliage and vibrant neon signs, this hidden gem tops our post-lockdown must-visit list. Whether you’re planning a long-awaited date night or a celebratory girls’ get-together, this place has got the goods, and then some. Book one of the private pods (which can seat groups of two to six) and spend your evening chowing down on mouthwatering grazing platters, piled high with halloumi fries, sizzling steaks and fluffy chips.
And to keep you well hydrated? There is, of course, a mega menu of quirky cocktails, from a Jaffa Cake-inspired sip to a Treasure Island iced tea and even an Aperol-flavoured ice pop. When dusk falls and the cold sets in though, the secret garden transforms into a cosy wonderland, with fluffy blankets and electric heaters sure to keep you warm ‘til closing time.
When Boris finally gives the go ahead? Your Insta feed isn’t gonna know what’s hit it.
