The event was not worth the cost.
The only redeeming feature was the fireworks display.
1. I was requested to collect the bands by December 30 evening. I drove a total of 8 hours to collect the bands. Given the substantial charge, arranging their delivery via post would have been more efficient. On December 30, I was informed that I could also collect them on December 31. I could have avoided the unnecessary trip if this information had been provided earlier.
2. The venue lacked clear directions regarding how to reach the location, which station to disembark at, and where to park. We spent at least half an hour wandering the streets, attempting to locate the appropriate station and parking spot. Fortunately, a police officer who understood our predicament allowed us to proceed.
3. The venue was overcrowded for the available space and food. No one served snacks until at least the first two hours. We were forced to stand up and search for servers to procure food.
4. No dedicated seating arrangements. Fight for your right situation after charging 500 GBP.
5. At midnight, due to the large crowd, everyone gathered together, making watching the fireworks unpleasant. The experience was no different from that of the people watching it from the embankment.
6. No arrangement was made to provide warmth for attendees on the boat, and few fireplaces were set up.
7. We were not assisted in leaving back. Without our walking shoes, we walked almost up to St Pancras.
8. Overall, this event was poorly organized in terms of the amount of money charged. I can say that based on my experiences.
