Description
One of Birmingham's most premier music and club venues stands loud and oh so proud in trendy 'downtown' Digbeth.
First opened in 1955, this grandiose venue full of statement Victorian wall decals and multiple bars is one of Birmingham's most talked about music mecca's. Having hosted the likes of everyone from Foals to Rita Ora and everyone inbetween, this bass-heavy space is a crowd-pleasing gig venue with the thumping modern sound-system and bar space to boot. Catch your favourite act, a live DJ or discover an up and coming artist.
The Institute is multi-purpose, holding regular club nights throughout the year. Four separate areas make up this magical maze of a venue: the main auditorium holds 1,500 people, The Library holding up to 600, The Temple Bar, 300 and a private VIP area for a more intimate affair. With regular evenings hosted by the recognised names such as Cream and Propaganda, The Institute is spot on when it comes to banging club nights and infamous party nights out in Birmingham.
