Description
Looking for a wealth of real ale and cider in the heart of Birmingham? Look no further than city centre specialist ale pub, The Wellington. Traditional, hearty and booming with character, The Wellington refuses to bow down to modernity and maintains classic beams, floral wallpapers and wood work through. With a reasonably lengthy bar to provide support to their 16 pumps, The Wellington is a relaxed pub in Birmingham that pride themselves on that Sunday afternoon feeling, all week long; even boasting their very own rooftop terrace.
The Wellington are at the top of their ale game when it comes to the bevvies they provide for Birmingham punters. With 2005 seeing The Wellington serve over 2000 different types of ale in the space of year, they've been competing with that number ever since. With 16 pumps on the go at any one time, that number could soon be beaten. Having won a multitude of awards including CAMRA's 'Pub of the Year' for over three years straight, The Wellington is a great real ale pub in Birmingham with the credentials to match.
While they don't serve food, staff are more than happy to provide plates, cutlery and condiments for those who wish to order something in. What they do serve, however, is snuff - yes, the nosegay of the 18th century dandy is stocked in a variety of flavours at this so-traditional-it's-the-least-traditional pub.
