What they say:
From vintage posters of Arabic movie star Sirine Jamal al Dine through to brightly coloured tins, Comptoir Libanais is bringing its souk-style dining format to Birmingham. Nestled in Grand Central, the dining spot is inspired by the cuisine of the Middle East, starting with breakfasts of pastries and yogurt and finishing with mezze sharing dishes and grilled meats. There's also a fruity choice of cocktails with the venue specialising in vodka and lemonades - with added bite.
What we say:
Comptoir Libanais is becoming a well-known face across the country so it makes sense that it should set up shop in Brum. The restaurant is based on Lebanese souks and has some of the brightest interiors we've seen in a while, with splashes of colour, bejewelled shutters, and fake items for sale. The lively atmosphere is contributed to via the open kitchen along with a counter top from which you can choose one of their famous baklava.
