What they say:
It's long been delighting Birmingham's street food pop ups and now Holy Moly Macaroni is here to stay. The renowned soul food outfit has taken over a space in Grand Central shopping centre, bringing with it a whole lot of American vibes. Inspired by a trip to Harlem, the founders have transformed the 60-cover restaurant into a slice of USA-cool, with neon signs, bright colours and industrial fittings to reflect the New York suburb.
What we say:
With a name like Holy Moly Macaroni, this restaurant is specialising in homely, comforting soul food - much of which will be macaroni. Expect a whole host of twists on your traditional mac 'n' cheese, from a chorizo and prawn-packed Shrimp Daddy to a wild mushroom truffle oil Uptown Mac. The spot will also be knocking up whacking plates of fried chicken and burgers, along with a selection of vegan and vegetarian eats.
