Description
Nestled along Caroline Street sits Lucky Duck, a relaxed and intimate bao bun and noodle restaurant. Created by a local Birmingham chef, the 20-seater spot is open five days a week for both take-away and eat-in over lunch and dinner.
The eatery features a regularly changing menu of homemade Asian-style noodle broths and bao buns - both available as gluten-free offerings, whilst fillings are guaranteed to please both veggies and meat-lovers alike. Their set lunch menu is also sure to keep diners coming back for more, offering up a midday main, side and green tea, all for only a tenner.
Opened by Dominic Simmonds, formerly of Purnell's Bistro, Lucky Duck's sustainable ethos encourages takeaway diners to bring their own Tupperware, resulting in a rewards system. Open from Tuesday - Saturday, the spot also offers a small and well-thought-out selection of wines and beers, alongside accepting BYOB for a small corkage charge.
