Birmingham's Grand Central is getting Yorkshire pudding wraps, courtesy of Pig and Apple. Following the phenomenal success of their pop-ups across the city, owner Lucy Darby is opening the eatery's first permanent location this month.
With the tag line, 'Slow Food Fast', Pig and Apple promises honest, simple food, cooked to perfection. The menu is mainly meat-focused with classic pub food at the heart of it. Signature dishes include slow-roasted pork with apple sauce and gravy wrapped in a Yorkshire pudding, and the slow roasted pork and stuffing sandwich with apple sauce and gravy on thick wholemeal bread.
For those with a sweet tooth, a new addition is the black coconut ice cream served in a waffle cone along with a selection of other flavours that are yet to be revealed. To wash it all down with, Pig and Apple will stock British beers and ciders.
