Description
One of the best places for Japanese food in Birmingham, Robata is the Colmore Row restaurant serving up izakaya-style dishes and sushi plates.
The city centre dining room is the second venue from the Robata family, who opened their first restaurant in London's Soho in 2019. The eatery has gained great acclaim for its unique take on Japanese cuisine, as it mixes small plates of chicken karaage and steaming gyozas with grilled skewers and larger charcoal-fired meat and vegetable numbers. The kitchen also delivers an extensive raw menu featuring an array of fresh sushi, sashimi and ceviche.
Drinking options aren't hard to come by either, as Robata brings in a talented bar team to create their selection of quality cocktails. Curious sippers can also enjoy an impressive list of sakes, as well as Japanese whiskies, gins and vodkas.
