What they say:
Named after the holy city in Northern India, Varanasi opened in early December in Central Birmingham. A Michelin-starred chef is behind the menu and has put his twist on traditional curry dishes. The venue is split over three floors, with a series of private dining rooms and space for up to 500 covers, while the decor is inspired by various Oriental influences including giant stone Buddhas.
What we say:
If there's one thing our fair city excels at, it's Indian food and set to take that another notch higher is Varanasi. The restaurant has employed some stellar chefs to deliver a high-quality menu and the decor looks sumptuous with plenty of velvet and gold. It's not all about delicious food though, there are three cocktail bars serving up some fine tipples, making this the perfect venue for a dinner, date or after-work drinks.
