Description
Haidilao is a DIY Chinese hot pot restaurant in Birmingham's Bullring. The name, translated to mean 'deep-sea dredging', is used to describe a winning hand in Mahjong and is considered rare and lucky. This is the global brand's third site in the UK and first outside of London, joining its army of over 750 eateries. The place is know for giving five-star service, offering massages and manicures to some of its guests as they wait to be seated.
In keeping with the Haidilao look, interiors are sleek whilst pop music gives the space a lively and party-ready atmosphere. With individual built-in cooking vats, the eatery gives you the opportunity to prepare your own bespoke soupy dishes using a varied range of broths, marinated meats and vegetables. Think tofu skins, lotus root slices and squid tentacles. There's even a noodle chef waiting in the wings to create fresh nests in front of your eyes.
