However, this month looks set to be a hot one, with everything from rooftop club nights to wholesome sushi masterclasses and quirky brunches. Yakinori Sushi School

Yakinori Sushi School is the place to be if you're looking to brush up on some knife skills and master the art of rolling your own California roll or presenting some seriously fresh-looking salmon nigiri. Classes take place every Thursday and include two hours where you'll be able to enjoy a welcome drink (Asahi, wine or a diet coke), plus nibbles like grilled chicken gyozas and grilled tempura prawns before getting stuck in.

BIRMINGHAM WING FEST 2025

Taking place at Hockley Social Club is Wing Fest, part of the world's biggest chicken wing festivals. This August, you'll get to indulge in £1.50 wings to try as many as you can across the three-day event, so you can vote for your favourites across a number of categories. 

But that's not all, since the festival will also be home to wing-eating contests and hot wing challenges, as well as live music, BBQ cooking demos, DJs and more for entertainment.
