Countdown to the Second Annual Brum’s Big Fat Pizza Festival 2017
It’s tasty and topped with juicy double cheese combinations; it can
only mean one thing! Brum Big Fat Pizza is back for the second year!
The annual festival dedicated entirely to pizza is returning to
Birmingham. Taking place on Saturday 29 April at No21 Digbeth, a
mouth-watering line-up of independent street food traders has been
revealed for this year’s showdown!
Making our cheesiest dreams
come true pizza fans, pay attention! When it comes to food, Birmingham
has pretty much got all bases covered. But you know what it's lacking? A
whole festival dedicated to margheritas, to meat feasts, hot ’n spicy
to Hawaiian, we love ‘em all. Deep filled or thin ’n crispy, there’s a style and a topping combo to tickle everyone’s tastebuds.
Taste and Liquor, Birmingham’s thriving independent food and drink
event-organisers, are planning a feast for the city’s annual Brum Big
Fat Pizza Festival. This year’s festival is set to be bigger and better
than ever, having developed a stellar reputation in the recent year,
which was attended by more than 2,500 people in 2016.
Brum
Big Fat Pizza Festival will be serving up all your favourite gourmet
pizzas, to send you into a double-cheese coma! Enthusiastic eaters will
find plenty on their plate, the fest, which aims to popularise and
promote independent Pizza Street Food Traders throughout the UK, a
medley of food and fun awaits for those who step into the venue.
Top of the bill are four of the UK's top pizzerias will also be
battling it out to find out whose crust is king, including pizza joints
Pizza Di Bruni and Solwuna Pizza, as well as Pizza Heaven and Oregano
Kitchen plus eight more pizza traders to be announced, leading up to the
day.
To wash down all that carby goodness, committed drinkers
will be treated to everything from hot rum cocktails, craft beer and
hot chocolate cocktails. Their in-house Mixologist will be presenting
fruity throw-downs of some of the best drinks this side of Digbeth. Plus
additional street-food traders Chips and Gravy, Smoke & Spice,
Jack’s Lewis Chocolates, Drunkin Dunkin will be taking spaces upstairs,
inside the venue to provide some epic sides and some outstanding
puddings across a one-hundred and fifty + seated area space.
Brum’s Big Fat Pizza Festival have an array of food and drink culture on
offer but its also includes entertainment as diverse as 80s films
screenings in a Retro Living Room, Free Face-Painting, games shows like
Play Your Cards Right and Bingo Rave and digital exhibitions by SKA and
more.
Adding to the extravaganza, the festival will be
supporting local artists like Namiwa Jazz and top DJ’s from the clubbing
fraternity will be spinning the tunes from day-to-night.
If
stuffing your face with pizza all day sounds like your idea of a good
time (and why wouldn't it?) then book yourself a ticket, pronto. Brum
Fat Big Pizza is every foodie’s dream come true!
