Emporium Theatre

Description

Inhabiting an old Methodist church on London Road, Emporium is a theatre bar in Brighton known for its charming enviroment, relaxed tipples and varying displays of performances and theatre alike.

A 120 strong warehouse theatre plotted in an abandoned Methodist church, Emporium is housed in one wholly unique venue. Maintaining the building's dated edge with an air of the kitsch thanks to vintage furniture, exposed brickwork, stained glass windows and bunting amongst the beams, the this cafe-cum-bar-cum-theatre space boasts a favoured 'shabby chic' style. Popular with theatre types and industry sorts the like, even Benedict Cumberbatch has shown his face at Emporium.

From burlesque and murder mystery nights to independent cinema showings and tea dances, no two evenings are ever the same at Emporium. With their ever changing roster and fully stocked bar, Emporium makes for a unique spot in Brighton to dabble in something a little different, be it a date night or a date with chums alike.
