It looks like Brighton is getting a new, quirky bar in The Lanes. Rumour has it, The Toy Shop have applied for a licence to sell alcohol, stage live shows and host club nights, from the former Jamie’s Italian location on Black Lion Street.
This will not be the first site from the group however, as they already have a pretty popular bar in London. The Putney haunt has become somewhat of a mainstay for its themed cocktails served in Lego cups, glass skulls and Wendy house jugs. They also have a house band and regular club nights.
While they're staying pretty tight-lipped about the whole thing, The Toy Shop team are hoping guests will enter a bubble of fun when stepping into the bar, and enjoy a real nostalgia-fuelled experience. They better not be toying with us…
