Brighton Pier SOLD, to the highest bar bidder

brighton pier sold to eclectic bar group

Eclectic Bar Group have pushed pen, paper and pounds to get their hands on the historic Brighton Pier.

While they may be known for their Lola Lo tiki taverns, and heralded for punchy, themed partying in cities the likes of Cambridge and Reading, the Eclectic Bar Group clearly had bigger sites on their mind when it came to Brighton.

This week confirming that contracts have been laid, the UK noted bar group (chaired by former Pizza Express front-man Luke Johnson) Eclectic have bought one of the country's most noted landmarks, and historic Grade II plot Brighton Pier. Coming in at a reasonable £18m, the buy out of Brighton Marine Palace and Pier Company by the bar group has sparked a flurry of ideas for the landmark. Will it remain the 2p machine palace that we know and love? Will it be embellished by the bar group? All is yet to be revealed.

While the contract is currently sitting as conditional, check back for more information shortly.
