There's nothin' like a good food and drink festival to get you in the mood for a long weekend. Embark upon a curious culinary adventure through as Foodies Festival arrives in Brighton to do a little shakin' and stirrin' throughout the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Drop by the Drinks Theatre and brush up on your knowledge of all things boozy, as some of the UK's most talented sommeliers, mixologists and drink experts host regular masterclasses and demonstrations. TV's Charles Metcalfe will be making an appearance, alongside Neil Phillips (otherwise known as 'The Wine Tipster'), one of the UK's leading wine and Champagne experts. The Cocktail Theatre will showcase the talents of top local mixologists, who will demonstrate their special skills through hands-on classes, all in the hope of being crowned the daily cocktail champion.
If you're looking for a little space to relax and recuperate, the Real Ale & Cider Farm invites festival goers to chill out on a hay bale with beer expert Melissa Cole. If you fancy a little sing along, the musically minded will be pleased to hear that a guitar is housed behind the bar.
Entry to the Drinks Theatre is included in the ticket price, although entry passes are released on the day of the festival; places are available on a first come first served basis. Foodies Festival takes place on Hove Lawns between Saturday 3-5th May 2014, between 11am-8pm.
