Brighton is renowned for being a little zany: what would you say if we told you that on Saturday 26th July, Brighton's most flippant will take to the streets in gill-iant fancy dress, to promote marine conservation and the loveliness of the sea.
For one day only, all of our favourite sea creatures adopt human form, marching through the streets of Brighton in support of the Big Blue. The parade will eventually reach the FIN-ALE at Above Audio, where prizes will be handed out for the best costumes, and the organisers will crown two lucky participants Queen Mermaid and King Prawn. From 8.30pm, Fortune of War are all set to host an after-after party, keeping all of you fishy folk entertained until late.
The March of the Mermaids will begin at Hove Lawns at 2pm, ready to march at 3pm - FIN-ALE at Above Audio will take place between 4pm and 8pm, and the after-after party at Fortune of War will take place from 8.30pm until late.
