Backed by a local investor, a new bar, restaurant and swish rooftop space could be coming to Hove Lawns as soon as this spring. The proposed venue will be situated on Kingsway and taking over from former nightclub and party spot The Venue, but the building will see a huge transformation as venture capitalist Luke Davis plans to convert the space into a hub for coffee, cocktails and affordable eats.
There will be a range of food on offer, with mains starting from £15, and a selection of ice creams to help keep you cool in the summer months. On top of in-house eating, beachgoers will be able to order food and drink deliveries to their blankets, while hut owners will be eligible for free delivery.
But this won't just be a summer spot, as planners have ensured that there will ample heating and light during the colder, darker months in the form of fairy lights and log burners, while an active entertainment schedule will keep the guests coming all year long, with everything from back yard cinema clubs to live music nights.
The as yet unnamed Hove Lawns venue is slated for opening in spring 2020 at Western Esplanade, Kingsway, Brighton & Hove, BN3 4FA.
