Tempest

Description

Tempest is located right on the beach with a stunning seafront terrace and a unique inside bar hosting some of Brighton’s best electronic music events.

Their pub and lounge bar is the perfect setting for a day or night drink. Head over and explore their lantern-lit inside spaces where their textured walls envelop you in a warm, cosy atmosphere. The ground floor consists of many individual caves which can be booked singularly or joined together for larger parties.

Their first-floor function has two indoor areas perfect for exclusive hire, with exposed brickwork, a unique interior and its own private bar. The room with the bar can be booked on its own, otherwise the capacity can be extended to include the secondary area (no bar in this space). If you are looking to party with your nearest and dearest, host a drinks and canapé reception, or party until the early hours – there's no need to look further, this venue has a late licence.

  • A word from the chef:

Hailing from the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland, chef Alistair Munro grew up surrounded by the finest produce and some incredible food institutions. His first job in a kitchen, aged 15 at The Cellar, Anstruther opened his eyes to a world of classic cookery and spurred him on to delve deeper into the restaurant world. 20+ years later he moved to Brighton having worked in kitchens all over the UK & Ireland, with a year in Melbourne under his belt. In 2021 he founded his own project: opening Alberta’s during lockdown to cult, local acclaim. Handmade Japanese sub rolls filled with premium, restaurant grade produce and expertly fried chicken. 1 year in at Albertas permanent residence, The Windmill, and it’s time to launch a brand new project with a seafood focus. Welcome BONITO to Brighton seafront! Vibrant seafood by the shore. At Tempest from April 2024.
