Description
A unique food offering for Brighton, if not the whole country, Kitgum Kitchen is a restaurant on Preston Road serving a delicious menu of dishes inspired by Indian and East African cooking.
Having taken over the site formally held by Circo and Senor Buddha, Kitgum Kitchen is the brainchild of Fayaz Almani. Formally a beloved Brighton food pop-up, Almani and his partner Susie Bates were able to launch their bricks-and-mortar venue following a successful Crowdfunder campaign.
Their menus offer a moreish and varied mix of small and large plates, including Kenyan potato fritters, chicken samosas, curries, mishkakis and their signature Ugandan Kitgum Rolex - an omelette filled chapati with potato, pickled carrots and tamarind sauce.
