WHO WE ARE:
We’re the leading new-material and open-mic comedy night on the
South Coast, hosted in an independent venue that welcomes a mix of
professional, semi-professional, and amateur comedians. This is a
fast paced event. Come and watch some of the best comics on the
open circuit live or die. Hilarious or painful but never
mediocre!
WHAT WE DO:
Doors open at 7 pm, and the show starts at 8 pm. Tickets are
available in advance online, or at the door if we haven’t sold out.
Each event features up to 15 comedians, each with a 5-minute slot
to test their latest jokes. You may even catch well-known TV comics
dropping by to try out new material! Our friendly, inclusive
atmosphere is also where we scout acts for our weekend gigs and
events like the Brighton Fringe Festival.
FOR PERFORMERS:
This is the perfect night to try out new material, support fellow
comedians, and enjoy a welcoming, intimate venue. We can provide
video and audio of your performance for a small fee of £5. Please
arrive by 8 pm to secure your spot—if you’re running late, let us
know in advance. Note that performances must be booked with us
beforehand; this isn’t a walk-in event.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.

Hilarious or painful but never mediocre! Doors open 7pm and the event starts 8pm. You can buy advance tickets online or on the door if we are not sold out but we usually sell out in advance. The format of the night is up to 15 comedians per event, with each comedian getting a 5 min slot to try out their material. Occasionally TV comics and top names pop in to test stuff out. Brighton's most Inclusive and friendly comedy night. This is also where we find acts for our paid gigs on the weekends and for Brighton Fringe Festival, etc.. It is a great night to try out some of your newest material or just come down to support others and enjoy the intimate environment. We can provide video and audio of your performance for £5. This night is all about supporting each other and having a good time. We also ask acts to please arrive by the start of the show at 8pm if you want a spot. You need to book in with us to perform. This is not a walk in night for acts. |
