Brisbane Powerhouse’s Night Feast Is Back This October With An Authentic Pop-Up Izakaya

Night Feast Brisbane returns this October.

This festival is truly a feast for the eyes.

Guess what's back and better than ever? The biannual food market Night Feast is set to head back to Brisbane Powerhouse this October, seeing the return of Sapporo Izakaya (founded by Taro Akimoto, the man behind Taro’s Ramen) in collaboration with Boom Boom Room. But that’s not all, as he’s also joined by Sapporo ambassador Shinichiro Shimo, who’s complimenting dishes with delicious brews to create the ultimate Japanese dining experience. Better yet, entry’s free.

Expect high-quality small plates, because Brisbane's noodle legend is swapping his broth for the grill and beyond. The menu includes dishes like king salmon handrolls with wasabi mayo, yuzu kosho and miso kimchi, plus hazelnut ice cream sandos.

As one of the most-hyped events for 2024, it boasts a wide variety of global flavours, with food and drink vendors including Donna Chang, Wonderbao, Gerard's, La Mano and many more. This year's new additions include Mediterranean and Lebanese legends Byblos, world-famous Gelato Messina and the Latin-inspired Calida, a cool collaboration between Diviners and Saville Row.

And if that wasn’t enough? There’ll also be plenty of entertainment, from roaming performers and circus shows to live music.

Night Feast runs from the 16th of October until the 10th of November at Brisbane Powerhouse, New Farm, QLD 4005. Feeling inspired? Check out our quirky date ideas and sign up to our future newsletter for more Brisbane updates.
