Sunnybank Hills certainly isn't short of laid-back, casual places to eat. Although something it has always been missing was somewhere you could dress up and, well, feel kinda fancy. But that's all changed since JuJu Bar & Dining recently swung open its doors.
Found down an unassuming alleyway, this exciting new restaurant in Brisbane will take you by surprise with its striking decor. While the dining room is a dark, moody affair, with leather banquet seating, black marble tabletops and intimate pendant lighting, the bar area is a different story. Boasting a pastel grey counter and minimalist wooden stools, it appears to be the yang to the restaurant's yin.
But the star of the show is certainly the East Asian-inspired menu; think Schultz suckling pig elevated with fragrant pickled chilli and Wagyu accompanied by umami kimchi. Need something to wash it down? There's an extensive list of local and international wines, not to mention beautifully prepared, signature cocktails.
