What they say:
We all know “that guy”; the one who can’t stand the spotify playlist in every bar you go to or complains that the music sounds like it was played through iPhone speakers in a pint glass – and if you don’t know “that guy”, you are “that guy”. But don’t worry, any musical based friendship spats are finally resolved with the introduction of Edit, described as the first ever audiophile bar in Bristol. Claiming it’s all about ‘the sound not the volume’, they’ll be playing everything from ambient, jazz and electronica to funk, soul and world music. And they’ll be doing it on a Klipsch heritage sound system, including hand-built tube amplifiers and a rotary DJ mixer from Alpha Recording Systems that, if nothing else, sounds impressive.
What we say:
While your ears feast on that delectable platter of noise, you can also munch on some tasty food. Their menu is a pan-Asian collection of small plates, with an amazing vegetarian selection too, including dishes like mushroom and miso boa, wasabi mooli or green papaya salad. Meanwhile, the meat and fish options are steamed lamb dumplings, fried tiger prawn with wasabi mayonnaise, and loads more. Meanwhile, you can wash it all down with an extensive sake selection and even better cocktails.
