Description
If you're looking for fine dining in Cambridge, Midsummer House is certainly one of the best. Having opened by Daniel Clifford in 1998, this restaurant has gone from strength to strength, transforming the finest, seasonal produce into elegant fare. The stunning eatery offers cute, cosy interiors, with plush armchair-style seating and artwork reminiscent of springtime. While you tuck in, you can also enjoy views of the cows grazing on the common from the windows.
Together, the owner and head chef Mark Abbott curate regularly changing, multi-course tasting menus for lunch and dinner sittings. Expect dishes like slowly cooked Loch Duart salmon accompanied by white chocolate and caviar, as well as roasted Anjou pigeon with white asparagus and razor clams. Pair this with a stunning glass of KRUG Champagne for a totally luxe experience.
