What they say:
The same team behind successful tapas restaurants Bar 44 are diving into Spanish culinary culture once again with Asador 44. Moving away from tapas, the new venue will focus on traditional chargrilling techniques found in the northern region of the country, with locally-sourced meat, fish and vegetables being cooked on a custom-built wood fire grill. The venue will come packed with the delightfully Spanish flourishes you've come to expect from the brand, including their very own wine and cheese rooms.
What we say:
The venue is the first restaurant in Wales to utilise the ‘asador’ style cooking and grilled food fans should get really excited about that. Their ingredients will be locally sourced, with their beef and lamb coming from a farmer just moments out of the city, and all of it will be cooked on their very own, custom woodfire grill. But they aren’t just resting on the visceral appeal of grilled meats: for an after-dinner treat, they have a series of cheeses stored in its very own cave. That’s right, they are so committed to the cheese cause that they have built a room dedicated to it.
