You may be more accustomed to seeing DEPOT packed-out with bingo-lovers and half-cut rugby fans, but this summer the Cardiff warehouse is taking social distancing very seriously. Making the most of their generous outdoor space, the team behind the venue will be continuing to treat the city to sunshine sips and street eats as they launch their new open-air food market on the 13th July.
Street Food Social will be keeping things safe and separate, maintaining plenty of distance between tables, and only allowing guests to stay for three hour slots. Between each session, they'll also be giving the whole place a very thorough wipe down, and sending patrons in the direction of their many sanitising stations.
But it'll be worth every second (and the threat of a little drizzle), as DEPOT brings in eight stunning street food vendors to treat you to everything from Brother Thai and Dirty Bird's fried chicken, to the Pork Society and Ffwrnes pizzas. On top of that they'll have a fully-licensed bar for you to wash down those mouthwatering plates with plenty of fresh-poured pints.
Street Food Social launches on July 13th and runs every day during its opening week from 6pm-9pm on Monday to Wednesday. After that it will be open every Thursday and Friday from 4pm-10.30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-10pm. Tables must be booked in advance and are available in three-hour time slots. And if you're looking for more open-air eats, we've rounded up the best Cardiff restaurants for outdoor dining.
