Description
The Clink, located in Cardiff's prison, is a unique restaurant which serves delicious food as well as helping rehabilitate prisoners. The charity was created in 2009 and the Cardiff branch opened up in 2012, employing prisoners who are working towards their City & Guilds NVQs in Food Preparation, Food Service and Customer Service.
The restaurant has won several awards for its fresh and flavoursome menu which includes dishes such as pan-fried black bream fillet and burnt butter crushed potatoes. The Clink serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and, from Wednesday until Friday, there are two nightly dinner seatings.
Alcohol is not served and guests are required to prebook for the dinner service. The Clink also has a private dining room available for hire.
